A cross-channel remote access digital collaboration between siblings in response to I Hear Something Coming by Susan Webster as part of CMCA’s Biennial.
We got to know Susan in February 2020 and stayed in touch over Facetime and Email and Text Messages as she finished her work between March–September. We talked about work, and how work can be beautiful to watch. Visual art often shows the fruits of the labor while presenting the art makers more obliquely. One reason we connected with Susan's practice was how her self-presentation often highlights her ongoing work.
One outcome of these discussions is a series of collages of videos from an iPhone, transferred to semi-functional MacBooks processed through Quicktime and Vimeo and iPhoto. These video collages were shared on loop at CMCA, 21 Winter St., Rockland, ME and evolved between October 2020–April 2021.
